After the major events Beethoven 32, in 2018 and L'Intégrale pour piano by Chopin, in 2019, the Maison de la musique de Sorel-Tracy will offer in 2020 Rachmaninov's piano: L'Intégrale on Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and 5 next, no less than twenty pianists residing in Quebec, the United States and even in Russia will be in Sorel-Tracy to be of this unique event. On Saturday, April 4, pianists will present all works for solo piano, two pianos, in four and six hands, played in chronological order. This day, which will take place in the Salle Georges-Codling du Marché des Arts Desjardins, will be divided into five blocks (A to E) and preceded by a short introduction by Mr. Georges Nicholson. On Sunday April 5, all of the works with orchestra will be presented in the Infant Jesus Church. For the occasion, Antoine Laporte (concerto no.1), Serhy Salov (concerto no.2), Jean-Philippe Sylvestre (concerto no.3), Michelle Nam (concerto no.4) and Richard Raymond (Variations) will be accompanied by the Longueuil Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Alexandre Da Costa and his guest, conductor Diego Naser, from Uruguay. This great musical day divided into two blocks (F and G) will be punctuated by two meal-talks, led by Mr. Georges Nicholson, about the works that will be played in the afternoon and evening.
